Dennis McMillen, CPA
Dennis McMillen offers his clients extensive business experience – over 30 years in public accounting, 25 of which were as managing principal of the firm. Much of his expertise centers on accounting, auditing and taxation for the construction, real estate, wholesale distribution, dealerships, and franchise industries. Dennis excels at navigating technical issues and translating them to real-world applications. He communicates complex accounting and taxation matters in practical terms to successfully engage with his clients. In his free time, Dennis loves to spend time outdoors, bicycling and hiking in nature, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Ralph Dovali, CPA, CAP
Service to the Omaha community is the hallmark of Ralph Dovali’s 20-plus year career in public accounting. He earned his BSBA from Creighton University and MBA from the University of Nebraska Omaha. Ralph’s professional experience is vast, including tax and accounting services for small business and individuals, financial statement audits, compliance audits of employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit tax and accounting. In addition to being a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ralph serves on the boards of numerous area not-for-profit and volunteers with various church and school communities.
Shayna Post, CPA
Before relocating to Nebraska to join the firm, Shayna grew up in Washington state and attended Boise State University, where she earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accountancy. She has been with the firm for more than 20 years, working in all areas of tax, audits of manufacturing, construction, and not-for-profit companies, as well as handling retirement plans and reviews and compilations of financial statements and serving as administrator for all electronic filings. Shayna has recently retired from 25-plus years of teaching Scottish dancing. She now has more time to travel with her husband, read, garden, and play with her Scottish (of course!) Terriers.
Colleen Reicks, CPA
Colleen Reicks graduated from Iowa State University with a BBA in accounting. She worked in private industry and public accounting before joining the firm in 2017. Colleen is a QuickBooks Proadvisor and a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs, Colleen prepares business and individual income tax returns.
Brandon Hoerstkamp, CPA
Brandon Hoerstkamp earned a BBS in accounting and finance from the University of Nebraska Omaha and worked in the banking industry before coming to the firm in 2015. He conducts reviews for nonprofits, audits for such sectors as low-income housing and employee benefit plans, and prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses, particularly agriculture, entertainment complexes, and rental properties. In his free time, Brandon likes to cheer on the KC Chiefs and Creighton Bluejay basketball team, chip away at his goal of visiting all 50 states, and spend time with his wife and two daughters. Brandon is a member of the Nebraska Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves as the Board Treasurer for Heart Heroes, Inc., an organization near and dear to his family.
Karie Murphy
Karie Murphy joined the firm team upon graduating from Dana College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2005. From preparing and processing income tax returns to greeting clients warmly as they enter the office, Karie’s talents find many applications. When not at the firm, she enjoys time lost in a good book, getting in shape with frequent exercise, and the company of her husband and son.
Kaitlin Vosika
Kaitlin brings an extensive banking background to the firm which includes her customer service expertise. Having earned her BSBA in accounting, she is close to completing her Master’s of Accounting. Kaitlin has strong data analytics knowledge and an eagerness to learn for the enhancement of the team. In her free time, she enjoys the company of her family and dog, Milo, capturing the beauty of the natural world through photography, and streaming such favorites as Game of Thrones.
Henry Slagle
Henry recently graduated from Creighton University with a BSBA in accounting and is currently pursuing his CPA license. He has been with the firm since 2022, working in all areas of tax and audit. An Omaha native, he is eager to serve clients in the community and gain valuable experience in the business world. Henry also enjoys competing in triathlons, running with his dog, and watching the Kansas City Royals.
Dawson Kline
Dawson is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Over the past year, he has gained hands-on experience preparing individual and business tax returns, developing tax planning strategies, communicating directly with clients, and performing employee benefit plan (EBP) audits. He plans to continue his education and pursue his CPA license. Dawson is known for his analytical mindset, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. He is a quick learner who values being teachable and growing in his profession.
Married and newly stepping into fatherhood, Dawson has a deep love for people and believes the best in them—especially youth and young adults. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, having meaningful conversations, and volunteering at his church.
